Screen play idea and plot

I originally posted this on an email forum, but a) i seem to have trouble sending emails to the forum, and b) no one replied, so I'm posting it here to see if i get more luck


Here it is, first is basic idea, followed by the plot, so far...

Good Vampir/Bad Vampire = Angel/Demon and You only see Good Vampires
as vampires to begin with, and its not untill the end that we
discover there are two typs of vamp' and that he's the good guy in
film, Do not find out that bad vampires are vampires untill end
either.

Charecters

Jac, Main guy and angel/vampire
Paul, Jacs friend, also angel/vampire
Ben, victim, and demon/vampire

Plot
Part1)
Film starts with the Murder of a tramp in a Dark alley
[exsanguination, we see fangs].*
(roll credits)
Two policemen, following the sound of screaming, come across Jac
cutting off, with an axe, the head of Ben Simon Dubios. Police give
chase and eventually catch him (Jac).
Jac ends up in prison and fones friend, Paul, who is a lawer. Paul
comes to see him and they talk, about how Jac was careless and about
how Jac will soon be hurting and will need to 'Feed' [or 'get a fix'
or some such], Ben's name is mentioned.
Jac is questioned, Ben's full name is mentioned, but Jac does not say
much, refuses to say why killed Ben, only stating that police would
not understand. Paul leaves and returns. Talks to Jac, discuss how
Jac is going to get out of this and gives Jac IV bag full of blood,
which Jac drinks down like he's dying of thirst.


so, any ideas where to go from here? I want to end up in court, i
also want the body to dissapear, maybe some implication that Jac is
somhow connected to the funny buggers, thats MI5 or MI6 to normal
people. I also dont want Jac to be shown to be a good guy untill the
end, and so near the end we discover that some one in the courtroom
is an evil vampire, and that so was Ben

*this screenplay is derived from a story I was writing, & I just
loved the prolog, in which the tramp is killed so quickly, his body
seems to take a while to catch onto the fact that he is dead, kinda like the cartoons when someone runs off a cliff, and had
to include it

Sounds alright but don't make it into a trashy horror. Look at actual blood drinking cults that exist today, focus on the relationships between these people. Go for some kind of moral argument rather than hunting their asses down.

My recomendation would be:
Check out an X-files episode called "Three"
(this refers to the father,son, and holy spirit). I don't know if you like the x-files but that doesn't matter - its an amazing episode that somebody should make into a film without using kung-fu.
Its season 2 I think (around Scully's abduction) check out the official website epsiode guide. Ahh crap - I'll find it...

There's a fucking brilliant romance in there too.

If you dont use this I while (adapt it of course) because its a brillant take on something which has become pretty laughable since Buffy and Angel.

I like the idea of making a non-trashy horror movie. And I like what Mark wrote about how the story could unfold.

But what I really wanted to say is that I like the fact that people start discussing their ideas on this forum. I think people in here get rid of that "nobody steals my story" attitude. I like that

i think one of the vampire/angels or whatever should be really fat and ruddy faced, gorged on blood. an antithesis of the stick insects from buffy.

perhaps all fat people are actually vampire zionists plotting to take over the world ... the angel has not FALLEN he has come TO HELP humanity .... ! shit, now you've started me ...

thanks everyone, It was never gonna be a trashy horror, it is gonna be more vampire thriller. I think too many people think of the Hammer "schlock horror" films when you say vampire, where as i wouldn't even show the beheading at the beginning, i'd show the axe swinging down, and then i'd cut to the other side, so that you see the blood coated axe swing back up, as the cops come round the corner and see him there.

Yeah, i thought that when i watched prophecy the other day, but the story isnt realy that simmilar, and ive never seen blade, so i have no way of comparing them
